Queenstown, 2010

Fig 1: Another easy hole at Jack's Point

Queenstown Recap

Simon Feasey, broken finger in tow, takes the 2k10 OCT.

Simon Feasey, the people's choice, came back from an injury induced low round at Millbrook to pull clear of a bunched field with a lovely 5-iron on the 18th to break a tie with last year's sand-bagging champ, Matt Byrne. Consensus seemed to be that this was the most successful tour as members have all agreed for a mandatory Queenstown stop every 5 years. Another mandatory item from this tour: Feasey is obligated to play at least one 20/20 match of cricket in the days leading up to the tourney.

Courses:
  • Millbrook
  • Jack's Point
  • The Hills (curiously, not an OCT-sanctioned event)
  • Arrowtown
  • Jack's Point
Other Highlights:

Um, watch a video of Ben Barlow as he hits one of the most poetic shots of the tour.

Order of Merit:
  1. Simon Feasey (champion)
  2. Matt Byrne
  3. Scott Simpson
  4. Jeremy Andrew
  5. Craig Foltz
  6. Ben Barlow (Tour Secretary)
  7. Shane Vuletich
  8. Iain Stewart (Spoonist)
